Media Invest in the III Young Entrepreneurs Forum of China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries

The III Young Entrepreneurs Forum of China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries was the beginning of Mission Global China 2017. This Forum is included on the first day of MIF – Macao International Trade and Investment Fair, one of China’s largest international business exhibitions.

This Mission is coordinated by AJEPC – Associação de Jovens Empresários Portugal-China (Young Entrepreneurs Portugal-China Association), along with Media Invest Group, and aims leading startups and technology companies to meet and create business and investment opportunities in China.

The Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre of China and the Portuguese Speaking Countries was presented at the Forum’s inauguration, an important step to highlight the role of Macao as a link between the two countries.

The opening of the event was carried out by the Secretary of State for Internationalization of Portugal, Eurico Brilhante Dias, followed by two debates: “Interconnecting the World – China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries”, moderated by Bernardo Mendia, Vice-President of the Sino-PLPE Federation, and “From Macau to the World – The Importance of Startups”, moderated by Derio Chan, President of CEIBA – China-Europe International Business Association.

The first debate included entrepreneurs such as Hugo Serra Lopes, President FAJE – Federation of Young Business Associations of CPLP; Mário Costa, President of the Union of Exporters of CPLP and Sónia Alexandra da Silva Queta, President of IFL (International Friendship Lead) Portugal of Guinea-Bissau.

Figures like Tim Vieira, CEO of Bravegeneration (Angola); Pedro Eloy, President of YET – Young Entrepreneurs Taskforce (Hong Kong) and Carlos Boa-Morte, President of FES – Fórum dos Empreendedores Santomenses (Forum of Santomean Entrepreneurs) joined the panel of the second debate

This Forum sets the beginning of the 3-day MIF exhibition, where startups and technology companies, like Inspire IT, Business Portugal, uReplay and Made in Portucale, lead by Media Invest Group, will have the opportunity to present their products and businesses to investors and entrepreneurs.
